Qualified Nutritionist, Director of Vegetarian for Life
Appearing on Sunday at 4pm in the Nutrition/Health talks room
Amanda is a qualified nutritionist who has penned numerous publications and lectured widely for organisations including Vegetarian for Life and Viva! Health.
A former editor at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, she is now the Director of Vegetarian for Life (VfL), a UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for older vegetarians and vegans.
VfL maintains and promotes a directory of over 750 veggie-friendly care facilities and food suppliers nationwide that follow its best practice guide, and offer grants to assist with financial hardship.
Amanda is also the founding Director of Eat Green (UK) Ltd. In recognition of her work, she has twice won the Manchester International Women’s Day ‘Women Protecting Our Environment’ Award and was the Manchester Evening News Environmental Champion Award winner in 2014.
