Diversity Equality Drama group
Appearing on Saturday at 11:45am in the Performance Area
My name is Mary-Jayne Russell de Clifford and I am an Artistic Director. I established a voluntary theatre group called ‘Dedrama Theatre’ in September 2012. Dedrama stands for Diversity Equality Drama and Dedrama is a theatre group which is accessible for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and hearing audience.
Our performances primarily use British Sign Language with a voice-overs or strong usage of physical / expressive theatre so as to be accessible for an integrated Deaf and hearing audience. Through the use of drama, I aim to create high quality yet enjoyable activities, whilst simultaneously achieving the aim of increasing levels of confidence and self worth for the participants. We also aim to encourage talent and creativity.
