Animal Rights Campaigner
Appearing on Saturday 1pm in the Campaigns / Lifestyle Talks Zone
Kate Fowler is the Head of Campaigns with national animal rights organisation, Animal Aid. She has campaigned for animals for 20 years, given hundreds of talks in schools, and lobbied at the highest level. But she has never left grassroots campaigning behind, believing that every individual can – and does – make a difference.
As well as leading Animal Aid’s campaigns team, Kate works specifically on wildlife culling issues – badgers, foxes, rats, parakeets, pigeons etc – as well as exposing and preventing suffering inside UK slaughterhouses. She has been vegan for 20 years, and shares her Sussex home with two Romanian dogs, two rescued rabbits and a cat who thinks she rules the world.
