3.00 - Can You Dig It? - Comic Songs on Growing Veg

Jo Stephenson and Dan Woods are two of the UK's best comedy songwriters and two of the UK's worst allotment holders. Their show Can You Dig It? features a wheelbarrow-load of comic ditties about trying, and mostly failing, to grow veg. Highlights include a power ballad tribute to cuddly gardening guru Alan Titchmarsh, a song about an evil pigeon called Derrick, and a rap battle between a gardener and a slug. The pair have taken the show to more than 60 venues across the UK and are the first ever comedy act to appear on BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time since the programme started in 1947.

4.00 - Peter Antoniou - Psychic Comedy

Peter Antoniou is the 'Psychic' Comedian (or Comedium if you prefer) fondling frontal lobes and tickling funny bones. Using his unique skills he is able to reach inside your mind and reveal things no one could know about you. Like the love child of Uri Geller and Ross Geller (from Friends) Peter has amazed clients such as Kerrang!, Ernst and Young, and Disney and regularly tours his sell-out theatre show across Europe.

5.00 - Shonalika - music

An acoustic singer-songwriter with her roots in metal, Shonalika’s sound is distinct. Having spent a childhood immersed in gothic subculture before expanding through Brighton’s vibrant music scene, her style combines folk, grunge and rock with a dynamic, powerful vocal. Dark and at times aggressive, her songs directly address oft-ignored and difficult subject matter. Described as “Acoustic Iron Maiden,” and drawing comparisons to artists as diverse as Laura Marling to System of a Down, her performance makes for a sometimes uncomfortable, always engaging listening experience that is not to be missed.

Debut EP scheduled for release early summer 2015.
