  • Huge celebration of the best of veganism in VegfestUK Awards 2016

Full categories and nominees for the prestigious VegfestUK Awards 2016, which celebrate the very best of a vegan lifestyle in the UK, have just been announced. There are altogether 16 categories with 10 nominees each vying for the top gong.

Running since 2007, the awards are the highlight of the year for many vegan businesses, organisations, projects and people, with tens of thousands of votes cast each year. Small vegan businesses and charities especially benefit from the marketing and prestige the awards create, and they have become a much loved and much valued part of the UK vegan community.

The VegfestUK Awards organisers added, “With over half a million people identifying as vegan, and half a million veggies actively seeking vegan options, there have been a huge explosion in vegan products, projects and organisations. The VegfestUK awards 2016 reflect both the quality and diversity within the vegan market today, and to be nominated for an award in 2016 is a huge achievement in itself. We expect all categories to be hugely contested”

You can cast your vote for your favourites at the link below:

Bi-weekly updates of the awards results will be announced under the “Awards” section on the Vegfest Express online vegan magazine: http://vegfestexpress.co.uk/tabs/awards-3396464

Voting will close at midnight sharp on Friday September 30th 2016.

  • How to get full value from being a stallholder at VegfestUK

As VegfestUK moves into its 15th year pretty soon, we take this opportunity to thank all our previous and current stallholders for making these shows so vibrant and popular over the past 14 years – you have been amazing for us and without your contribution VegfestUK would never have got to the position it finds itself in today.

We recognise also that for many of our current stallholders as well as any prospective stallholder, it is a big outlay to continue exhibiting at these events, so we have taken the time to compile this short manual to help you get full value out of your VegfestUK experience.

  • VegfestUK Bristol 2016 attracted 13,000 people despite rainfall

Despite some sustained showers over the weekend May 21st 22nd, around 13,000 people visited the 14th edition of the VegfestUK Bristol vegan festival at the Amphitheatre, to enjoy good food, good music and good company.

With a house party featuring Marshall Jefferson, Alison Limerick, Adamski and Criss Cross on the Saturday, followed by an EDM / reggae fest with Stereo MC’s, Macka B and Andy Compton (feat. Celestine & Sabrina Chyld), the musical part of the event in the evenings was awe-inspiring and persuaded many to stay the full course of the day after a sumptuous feast of vegan food and information during the daytime.
