Vegan Counsellor & Activist

Tom is a trainee counsellor who previously worked in HR for ten years. Shortly after starting his training as a humanistic counsellor, he became vegan in October 2017. A month later he participated in his first of many vegan activist events. Tom is a co-founder of the Anonymous for the Voiceless chapter in Guildford, Surrey and also delivers talks to secondary school students on animal rights and veganism. He has person-centred experience as a caseworker for Victim Support, political campaigner and a support care worker for children who have learning disabilities.


What can counselling teach us about vegan activism?

In this talk, Tom will share his insights on his journey to becoming an activist. In addition, he will expand on how his studies and practical experience in counselling, volunteer work and public speaking have influenced and continue to shape the way he advocates for the animals.
